What is your professional background?
I was always drawn to computers, and I was one of those kids who knew what they wanted to do in life since they were 6. I studied Computer Science in Romania and started my career while still in university, working as a Java developer for a consultancy company, building applications for the social media and ecommerce sector. Since then I worked in the fintech company @Tora, before moving on to @Dixa to develop their customer engagement platform. In June 2021, I joined Responsibly as a lead software engineer and since then, I've been working on building a new and exciting product from scratch.

Why are you at Responsibly?
I believe in sustainability and that it's each individual's responsibility to be aware of the impact of the choices they make. Unfortunately, that's not as easy as it sounds. Data is scattered and oftentimes, a very thorough search is required in order to find the right data. I want to be a part of building a future in which people can make informed, straightforward and transparent choices when it comes to responsible procurement.
That, and because I love building software.
